Experience
We were a big group but the house and staff coped amazingly well and looked after us like royalty. No wonder President Reagan was happy to stay here.

Situated just one mile from the village of Auchterarder in rural Perthshire, Auchterarder House enjoys the privacy and tranquillity of 20 acres of stunning gardens and grounds including a beautifully kept lochan which is stocked with brown trout. There are stunning views over the Grampian Mountains to the west and to the Cairngorms in the north. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are within one hours drive and there are good communication links with the A9 road to Perth and Stirling.
History
Centuries ago, the ancient Royal Burgh of Auchterarder was strategically positioned on the road from the Royal residence at Scone, near Perth, to Stirling Castle. During the battle of Sherrifmuir, the Earl of Mar’s rebel army burned the old village to the ground and today that battleground lies just a short distance from Auchterarder House.
