Just one hours drive from St Andrews (or 25 minutes by helicopter), Auchterarder House has 10 extremely comfortable ensuite bedrooms (including one fully accessible downstairs bedroom and bathroom) and fabulous entertaining space in the wonderful drawing room, library and magnificent dining room. There are a limited number of exclusive use private homes available for St Andrew’s golf week at The Open 2022 and demand is high.
The 150th Open
For the first time ever, due to increased demand for tickets, in order to make it as fair and as inclusive as possible, a ticket ballot has been introduced. To enter the ballot, those hoping for tickets will need to become members of The One Club (free to join). The ballot is open from 1st July 2021 – 4th October 2021 so if you haven’t already applied for tickets, time is running out. Results of the ballot will be announced in late October and November.
St Andrews Old Course
The Old Course at St Andrews is where golf was first played 600 years ago and is possibly the most iconic golf course in the world and setting for a golf vacation. From 10th-17th July 2022 the town of St Andrews will be buzzing with excitement as the 150th Open takes place on The Old Course. The idyllic setting of St Andrews with its beautiful beach and coastline will provide visitors with an awesome backdrop for this historic and famous championship and golf experience.
Concierge Service
We can organise everything for you during your stay from the chef and transport (including to and from The Open) to any activities you may wish to enjoy when not watching the golf. Maybe not all your group will want to go to The Open and we can organise an interesting and fulfilling itinerary for them. There are castles, gardens and whisky distilleries to visit nearby as well as beautiful local walks, fishing for trout on the house lochan or further afield and clay pigeon shooting (a clay trap can be put on the roof to provide extra challenging shots). If you would like to find out more about bringing a group of friends to stay at Auchterarder House for a golfing break or St Andrew’s golf week at The Open 2022, please email us now on info@auchterarder-house.com and we would be delighted to help you.
